The system navigation bar on the Kindle Fire HD 10 sits over the bottom of the app. Is there a way to hide the bar or make the app so the client area does not fall below the top of the nav bar?

Fire Toolbox.

Allows you to do all kinds of things, including installing the Google Play Store. I used this to hide the nav bar, as well.

I have four Amazon tablets, and none of them does this (all are set to factory default settings). I don't know how to reproduce this. In theory, since the app is set to "immersive" mode, the nav bar should auto-hide when you stop interacting with it.

My HD8 and HD10 also do this; but they are set to display ads; Yuriy - are your Fire tablets ad-free?

Two questions:
1. Are you side-loading the Google Play version, or running native Amazon Store version?
2. If you are side-loading, did this just start with the Beta build, or has it always been this way?

Thank you
Yuriy

1. Amazon Store
2. Not Applicable

I think the task bar disappeared when I first loaded TDRO (but can’t swear to it).

And I was wrong about the HD8 (at least now): HD8 (on the Mini-Lathe) only initially shows the task bar, which drops down after a couple of seconds:

The task bar reappears when one of the buttons is pressed,

then goes away again once the pop-up screen is closed.

HD8 (12th gen) v 3.24.06; Fire OS 8.3.2.7

On the HD10 (Mini-Mill), the task bar is always there:

Thanks, Yuriy! (BTW, if you come East for Cabin Fever, I won't be there due to my shoulder, but you can stop by my house, see my shop and have a Lager).

Sorry to pull off topic (and feel free to PM me to keep the thread on the straight and narrow, if you like) but what would be the reason to side-load the app from the play store rather than using the native Amazon Store app?

These days - to have access to the Beta releases (I publish them to Google Play Store). Until last year I wasn't able to post to Amazon App Store, so that was the only way to use a Kindle with TouchDRO.
