I was able to get it from the bottom of the driveway all the way around to the

back yard and into the workshop with only a ground guide. I love it when a plan comes together.

Now the fun begins!

A telehandler is a useful tool to rent. While you obviously moved your lathe successfully, I encourage anyone using a telehandler to use some sort of strapping (chains, load binders, etc) to keep the equipment on the forks. Unlike a forklift the load is not sitting only a few feet from the fixed (non-steering) wheels. You can easily surprise yourself at how fast that load moves left/right when you turn the telehandler. And then instinct kicks in and you hit the brakes, and your load can easily get slung off. Ask me how I know. Or better yet, don't ask, just guess.

Thank you. Indeed this is must do. I had several ratchet straps holding it on the forks for the move. Just took them off before pictures were taken.

I rented the same handler to move mine a few months ago. Fair warning, you really can't put meaningful straps around the factory crate. You'll crush it. When I moved mine is focused more on carefully pushing it along vs picking it up and moving it.

Wow! we have no such rentals available in Trinidad (AFAIK). Out of curiosity, how much does it cost to rent a Telehandler?
Nice equipment indeed! ....congratulations!

I paid ~450 USD for a day rental. That included delivery and pickup.

If you're in the kind of place that doesn't have a rental yard you definitely live in the kind of place where someone has a tractor with forks nearby :)

That one cost me $275 USD for the day and I used it all of 15 minutes. Delivered and picked up too, all inclusive.
