My first projects

Heres a picture of my first lathe projects. The plugs are for the rear hydraulic remotes on a john deere 2010, I found one of the original ones on the tractor so I copied it.

The 1/2" rod I threaded to 11tpi, I couldn't figure out why the nut wouldn't screw on. Then I seen 1/2" bolts are 13tpi so I threaded the other side.

Been refurbing an old sibley drill press. I found three differing pitches for .500" bolt: 12TPI, 13TPI and 16TPI. The 12TPI is a British standard I think and of course 13 is American. the 16 is puzzling. But it pays to double check everything when making new parts - for sure...

One of the main reason I bought the lathe is to machine threads on hydraulic cylinder rods. Everyone I worked on has been some type of fine thread.

Ive been trying to find some goofy size nut to try and make threads for but so far all I can find is standard sizes.

Wanted to dress up the front end of an older paintball marker (Sheridan PGP) - a little bit classier than the pitted, black-anodized cap that was there.

Needed a rear velocity adjuster so I turned one...

Made a sleeve to repair a buddy's brass barrel that had broken at a weak point.
