I watched one of my favorite Youtube hosts this morning. He made a simple spill proof oil can.
The most difficult part is getting the tuna out of the can.
I got to shape the copper pipe and do a bit of soldering as well.

It’s a fun project and who doesn’t need an extra oil can? No pesky magnets, nice wide low profile unit.
It took about an hour.

You could have opened the can as usual, and then TIG welded the top back on for practice with welding thin sheet. Would have made the can easier to clean, but if your TIG skills are like mine, you probably would have had about 10 cans worth of tuna to consume.

But think of all that TIG practice. :)

Looks good.

Hold up, Jeff- If I'm following you correctly, you used a drill as a can opener and picked the tuna through the hole? Did you get any chips in your sammich?
My sammich was left over pizza :)
Hold the chips.

I can assure you the can would look like swiss cheese :)
