I picked up a 2 HP single phase GE motor with a complete jaw coupling, & a 1/3 HP 2-speed motor on a craigslist post. 12 miles from home & a total outlay of $40.00 ! Now I have two 2 HP motors to replace a dual pump compressor's 3 ph motors. The compressor was used @ a municipality building nearby & rebuilt just before the facility was remodeled. The compressor was replaced for the remodeling & I was able to get it for $ 80.00 scrap! I think I have a guardian angel who is a "tool" junkie also. (Motors are tools, aren't they?)
