For owners of 13" South Bend lathes, the most helpful site on the internet is owned by Ryan Battelle.
He details each and every assembly with a photo essay on each. I cannot say enough about the usefulness of Ryan's site:
Refurbishing a 1952 South Bend 13"x40" Lathe
http://home.roadrunner.com/~rcbattelle/lathe.html
The first Yahoo group has exploded parts drawings and assembly drawings for the Heavy 10 lathe and its accessories. The second group has "How to" files which detail how to break down and restore the lathe, and power it.
Our downloads area has
South Bend 10L "How to" Files
I hope these are of help to South Bend lathe owners.
Best,
Nelson
