I have unexpectedly acquired a Delta Wood Metal bandsaw that has an unusual problem. I previously owned a similar saw and replaced all the bearings but have no recollection of how this part works. The knob that shifts the dogs from high to low speed along with the shaft it actuates can come completely out of the drive axel and the saw is stuck in high gear. Does anyone know what was supposed to hold this shaft in place and secure it to the drive dogs? I am hoping that there are just some pins that have fallen out. The saw is in storage until I finish my current project and is very dirty so I do not have the model number. It has hinged doors so it is fairly modern, I suspect that it was the last of the USA made Delta saws. I also need to know the correct length of both belts.
