Got that ol' bottle of ink, paint or other 'suspended' pigment that's been laying on the shelf for 3 years? Stick it in you' lathe, @the lowest speed, come back a while later...Five gallon bucket of paint? Better have a BIG lathe!
When I rebuild a fishing rod I cover the eye lacing with epoxy. It was always a hassle preventing the epoxy from sagging before it cured. Now I use 5 minute epoxy and stick the rod in the lathe at 70rpm. Perfectly round glue ups every time.
