Milling vice fixture for setting parts square.

Setting parts square in some types of milling vices can be challenging if they have no centre section. This fixture uses the long solid top of the fixed jaw as a datum. The horizontal part is long & heavy to hold it down in position along the vice jaw. The vertical reference sits well below the jaw & also protrudes above for maximum engagement with the part.

Thanks. These are the squares I have always used, although they are square I could never be 100% confident the base was seated. With this style I can check if it is seated as the extra long stock is on the top of the jaw, instead of buried inside the vice.
