Every time I come to this shop the customer ask me if I want this and if I want to make a deal on it.......

Well it's sizable, and looks in reasonable condition- Was/is a very good machine. Have you operated it?

Beside what looks to be some damage to the chip pan, is everything else on the lathe in decent shape? Any other chucks come with it? A steady rest?

Do you have the space?
Can you power it?

They bought in new in 67. The present owners Dad was the only one to run it.
The ways look very nice for the age.
I am not sure what other components come with it.
I have to look at the electrical tag to see the requirements.
I am thinking I could sell my fully optioned Southbend 16 X 72 and put this in its place.....

I don't know if it would matter much to you, but you will want to check for a bent leadscrew for the crossfeed. The handle has taken a shot as well.
None the less, I like it!

Could be a jewel under the grime- I've certainly seen worse

I know it's a diamond. I have used it about a year ago, before it got moved to where its pictured. Obviously a bad spot, I think this recent damage will drop the price.
I have been waiting for the price to come down and then I will trade labor.

I Received a text...... the owner said he can still see his father running the lathe and he knows it will be in good hands....He gave it to me but said I have two to four weeks to remove it.
