As a Global Moderator it has come to my attention that there are Boards that are not being seen by some. I urge you all to look at everything that we at Hobby Machinist have to offer you. There is so much to be seen here. One in particular is the Auction Forum. If you have something to sell this is a great alternative to Ebay and Craigs List. Please help us to get that section rolling.

Thank-you all ---- "Billy G -- Global Moderator"

Bill,

If we can't see it, how do we know we can't see it?
Is there some master list somewhere that we could check against?

I will try it now.. I wonder if TapaTalk is part of the problem- just the way it is laid out. Thanks Billy!

Thats what l thought at 1st, but what l think he means, is that some are not going to, or looking at all the things.

Every Board open to the membership i9s on the Forum page. Many do not bother to look anywhere but in one or two places. I am simply asking them to look around more to see what they are missing.

If there is something that is there and you are made aware of it but can't see it yourself, please feel free to contact me or another moderator about it. We can't fix a problem if we don't know about it.

In some cases, you might click on a button and you might get "access denied". People tend to only visit one or two areas and never go beyond that. I think Bill is trying to make sure everybody can reach all the intentionally exposed areas of the site. The only thing most folks should not see is the "Administrators Forum".

if I select "new posts" or "todays posts" am I covering everything ? altho it is quite time consuming, it does give me a lot to read if I choose..................

Yes, David, that covers it. That's my primary method as well. If you want the overview, select "Forum" in the toolbar and you will see the entire layout.

I know I can't buy/sell because I don't have the required 20 posts, but I would like to see what is on the auction list. How do I get there?

In the future I hope site administrators will consider allowing those of us who have not posted 20 times to buy and sell on this site. As a new member I'm reading many of the posts which answer most of my questions, so I've only needed to post once. In addition, if we are new to the hobby now is the time when we need to purchase good equipment from people we can trust. I do understand you don't want this site to become another Craig's list. Thanks for all the help the listers have provided.

Hi Frank!

welcome to the group. I am not a moderator or anything, but I would say that even typing "that helps me", or "thanks -----" would count in your 20 posts, and also give the posters who are helping you some nice feedback.

Just my $.02 :)

I look forward to hearing about your journey as a beginner. I am not so far ahead of you compared to some of the true artisans on here.
