Manson Small Lathe - $1200 (oakland hills / mills)

That is cute and I have a small lathe obsession. :grin:

It is safely above my impulse buy threshold though.
 
It's no wonder there are so many machine tools floating around LA on CL. It's crazy how many were made in LA.

We don't see it now, but in the first half of the 20th Century California had a booming manufacturing base, cars, trucks, aircraft, ships, tools, guns.
 
I found this youtube video on one of these lathes. 2" swing and a power feed on this little guy. :)

I noticed that too. One isn't even 10" long, the other 15 feet long with a spindle bore larger than the swing on this one.
 
I have a couple of them. And they look very similar to a 10EE. Cute as the dickens, but that’s about it. Making meaningful parts from them is a stretch. I enjoy just looking at them and will do my lathe operations elsewhere.
