Made in USA!!!

Sherline mills and lathes are totally made in USA, along with there tools, even the plastic parts. They offer free plant tours in Vista CA if anyone would be willing to go there. I wonder who else can say that. This came as a shock to me since I was given a CNC mill and lathe, the lathe box was never opened, along with some other boxes. Just a little tidbit of info., I wonder if the other forum would except me since it is not asian LOL.

I think Taig maybe takes the same parts as I have seen Sherline/Taig parts grouped together, maybe same company, don't know for sure. I did some playing around with the mill tonight and made a t-nut for my SB9 and I noticed it was out of square a little, I did check it out some before I started and it seamed ok. I did find a broken end mill in the box of parts, so that's what thru it out of wack i guess, I should have checked it out a little better, it was only used a couple of times and I thought it would be ok. I did put the t-nut back in the vice and trued it up, so no big deal. The CNC lathe is still in the box, but the computer is hooked up and I am playing with it, the mill I ran just in manual mode for now, just trying to get a feel for speed and cuts for now. It seems to do well, but it is no Bridgeport.
