Here are mine:

I too need to get my SBL 10L up and running- it's in pieces in my basement.
I need to get my Burke #4 and Van Norman #12 running too.
I need to finish the walls in the kids' rec room and get the electrician to wire the circuits I ran.

I need to stop spending so much time on the net, especially on my web site.
Lose some weight would be nice.

I guess that's enough for one year!

Happy New Years Everyone!

I had to think about this for a while as I could have made a big long list. So I just came up with one good one.
: To finish up all the project's I started within the last twenty-five years.

Not really a New Year's Resolution, because I don't do those, but I have decided not to embroil myself with so many projects and pursuits at the same time. I am finding so little time for the more important things in life. Many of the things I am involved in ARE the important things in life, but I believe that surely I can just say no to some of the requests people make of me. I have always had a hard time saying no to people who ask me for help, no matter what. There are hidden costs to that, even though there are hidden payoffs as well. I am determined to either decline some opportunities or find simpler, more efficient ways to manage them.

One is the phosphating project. Yes, I CAN do it the way I have outlined in the associated thread here, but why I should do it that way rather than just send it out to some friends of mine 100 miles away who are already set up commercially is a question I cannot answer satisfactorily. Just one example. I do some volunteer work that I find very rewarding, and I won't give that up, so something else will give.

I don't know enough about machining to even ask an inrelligent question and that is the main reason that I am not seen on this sight very often. So for my machinist related resolution; I will learn more about my mill/drill than just using it for a drill press. A happy New Year to all. Tom

I resolve to get my workbench cleaned up. If not that, then at least I'd like to see a bit of the floor. . .

My New years resolutions are pretty simple. Be alive till next year comes immediately to mind and is first on the list. Other more easilly achievable goals are to be of maximum service to my fellow man and to clean my shop up and start finishing some of my old projects. Cleaning the shop is most important after being alive and helpfull so I can work again. I have several unfinished projects and many more that I would like to do so I need to get busy and get cleaning. Hope each and every one here are still here next year and have a great and prosperous New Year in 2012.

Bob
