Machineries Handbook is currently available from several sources in the 28th edition. I have found this text to go with the Handbook almost invaluable. It is a guide to the contents of the most recent edition and outlines using some of the formulas and how to get the most from your book. Here is the link to it at Amazon.com.

Hope this helps any one interested in getting more out of their Machineries Handbook.

Amazon also has guys who sell the older ones used. I bought a 17th or 18th edition for $12 or $13, and it arrived and was a nice condition. I do need to get the guide also. The reason I bought an older one was that I was advised to get one closer in date to the equipment that I own.
