I called after Nolo and was told someone was on the way to buy it.

I think the sleeves you are talking about is part of the table the he had made. Just tubes to hold bits. The table is actually pretty nice. Heavy duty and on casters.

The speeds are limited. There are only 4 between 710 and 4470. The multi-speed attachment which I don't have would give "12" speeds. Actually less since two are equal and a couple are pretty close to each other.

Check out the downloads section- I am sure I downloaded a scanned SB DP manual in there that might help you.
Also, Jim B did a restoration thread on his- might be worthwhile to do a search and check it out.

Also, he is replacing the bearings for me on mine- and can tell you what bearings you need and where to get them if you need new ones.

That looks truly awesome. I envy the fantastic condition of your table- I always wonder why people scar them up instead of using a protective piece below the work.

Contests- you really did awesome for $100 bucks!!

got it all together tonight. The hardest part was getting my meat hooks into the head to get the switches and light installed. I order a quill depth stop for joe@plazamachinery since it was missing on it. Splurged and got a new South Bend logo plate too. The one that was on it was painted over had had no color underneath. The chuck was a victim of an abusive relationship sometime over the last 50 years or so. i took it apart and the threads on the split ring and one of the jaws is damaged. A new one is on the list too. I'll post some new pics when it is complete.
