Lubrication help

I am getting an old Enco 405G X 1500 lathe up and running. I want to change the oil in the headstock before I fire it up. I was finaly able to find a manual and the oil listed for the headstock is "Mobile Hydraulic 28" I called the local oil supplier. they didn't have that oil, they have 32 Hydraulic oil.
I guess what I am asking is. Do any of you know what the oil from the 80's would transfer to today?
On a side note, the lathe looks like a 16" x 60" Victor copy. Although the headstock castings are a little different.

My lathe specified Shell. Years ago I couldn't find the lube called out so I called Shell Customer Service. The required lube had been discontinued. I got passed around a little, but all very professional. Finally got transferred to an engineer. He investigaed the chemicals which went into the old stuff and found their current closest lube. Then got transferred to sales and they shipped a couple pails to the closest distributor. Later on I learned that the price I ended up paying was very competitive.

I don't know about Mobil Customer Service, but you might give them a call.

Thank you "Uglydog", I took your advice and called Mobil tec support. In this case he said i would use Mobil DTE light . now I just have to find some. I can get it on Amazon but around $25 for shipping.

Good.
I've had luck with MSC.
McMaster might be less but their CS is lacking. My experience.
There are likely others more or less $ than those above?

I use AW-46 hydraulic oil in mine. NAPA has it in gallons and 5 gal pails. It's what I use in my forklifts hydraulics also.
