Logan Engineering 917 11" x 36" Metal Lathe Dayton 1HP Motor 115/220 - $1600 (Decatur)

Thoughts on price, condition, etc?
 
Need to check it out closely. Seems a bit high to me.
Only major item seems to be the compound.
Logans are decent lathes.
 
Doesn't look abused other than the damage to the compound. Prices vary by location, so look at what else is available
on CL for that price. That lathe has a couple of things going for it: The 11" Logan has a 1 3/8 spindle bore, which
is much more desirable than the 10" machines that have a 25/32 bore. Also, new repair parts are available for Logans,
which makes them much easier to support.
If you look, be sure to evaluate the condition of the spindle bearings.
