I have a bench top bead blasting cabinet Harbor Freight 42202. It needs better lighting. If any of you have rigged lighting for a similar setup, and you really like it… ……I’d sure like to hear about what you did.
Thanks,
Larry

I use a swivel outdoor bulb holder together with a outdoor floodlight bulb, as the glass is much thicker than the indoor version.

It's mounted in the upper left corner inside the cabinet and is a single version of one of these: http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc...=-1&keyword=outdoor+bulb+holder&storeId=10051

I've been using the same bulb for years and it really helps to see what you're doing, although it does generate some heat.

i have an astro version thats been hanging around for many years. . . it uses a 40w bulb. no problem. however if i forget to turn the vacuum on, i cant see for crap. and anything coarser than glas beads won't suck thru the syphon tube. i love mine for small stuff. i think the big floodlight would heatup quite a bit, no ?

I have that same cabinet and installed one of those little add on under cabinet florescent fixtures - single 24" bulb bout $15 at wally world - pop riveted to the cabinet. Had it some time and I keep coarse Black Beauty media in it and it just keeps on ticking...
