LeBlond Regal 15x36, Altadena, CA $1000

Now THAT looks like a crazy good barn find! Looks like it’s stuffed in with other machinery and mess to get out. Didn’t mention any help like a forklift either.

Wow crazy nice- look at that front way- beefy. And a gap bed too, and yet it's just gathering dust. Never could understand that. All the great deals are here in Ca all of a sudden but still too far for li'l ol me

And there is no way to know what you’re going to run into when you get there. Like how many machines or other heavy stuff you’ve got to move to get to it. Altadena could be anything from a barn to a warehouse to a storage unit. When it’s cheap there’s usually a reason. But that’s one of the best deals in a while.

Yeah that's true, it looks like a great deal but the spindle bearings could be trashed or other some such expensive fix
And of course the seller has no idea about it's condition
I can see some corrosion and light rust so it's likely in an unheated space with some moisture intrusion.
Possibly corrosive pool chemicals or similar nearby

Right, I'd have to get family to scout it, and that has a certain cost also ;-)

Pics from a distance are tough to parse. Some stuff looks better than live, some looks better in person. And those pics it’s hard to tell if it’s just dust or light rust. Even if this thing was close it would be interesting to check out and if worthwhile a challenge to move as its at least 2klbs. Of course if you’ve got a big truck, skates, a drop trailer and some reliable help, no problem.

He who hesitates.....

It's gone.
