I am told these lathes with the wood bed are very accurate. You just have to carefully control the humidity!

While you are cutting balsa wood? Seriously, I know nothing about this type of lathe... Can someone with experience with one please tell us all about it? Thanks.

Judging by the pile of woodworking tools below, I'd assume it's a Shopsmith... but before Shopsmith was making them. Pretty cool!
