went to a flea market and found 50 unground 3/8 lathe bits for 40 bucks. All old US made. but the best part was 10 Tantung G bits 4" long. Rex95, Armstrong, Red Fury, too.
I have an old Southbend that doesn't do well with carbide, but man those Tantung, and Red Fury, make cutting stainless a dream. I understand that Wesson still makes Tantung, but at 20 plus bucks a piece few are willing to pay for them.

Sounds like a good score.:congrats: But pictures would be nice..

I get a ton of tooling from flea markets. Good find.

I just purchased some Crobalt bits (another of the cast alloys). You did well, I paid $11 for the 1/4" and $16 for the 5/16". Looking forward to trying them out. David
