Lagun Milling Machine - $2,500 (Sacramento, CA)

Nice machine. Looks like an FTV-1, and a clean example. The price is fair for Sacramento. If you've never checked out a Lagun, they're very good mills.

Just a side comment: It's curious to me that none of the 1/2 dozen, or so, knee mills I've seen here, in the last few days, have a DRO.
I thought everybody knew how wonderful a DRO is and wouldn't be without one. I guess I was wrong.

People have yet to realize that you can get a good DRO for less than a 2" travel indicator. Some are still paying twice that for a Trav-a-dial. I have a hard time convincing people that the cheapest most economical DRO I could find is a quality piece. Old opinions and prejudices die hard. That, and unless you've installed a DRO, the prospect can be a little intimidating.

Well, they may also be removing it before the sale. I know that used equipment dealers have a bad habit of skimming off the good bits of whatever they take in (like, everything except the basic unit), and are happen to sell those to you for extra. That's why I like buying from private owners.

And of course, up to the 1960s or so, the world managed just fine without digital anything, just sayin'
