Lagun ftv-1

Looks to be in decent shape unless I'm missing something. Comes with "collets and cutters". Its a few hours from me. What would be a steal of a price? 2k or 2500???

Laguns are very substantial machines, it is a vari-drive with vise and tooling and appears to be very clean. He's asking what I would consider top of the market without being ridiculous. $2k would be a very good deal. All of that is dependent on local market conditions.

Just let him know that your interested if he changes his mind. Those don't come up everyday....

This is another next prospect. It's in dfw area on Facebook marketplace if anyone wants to beat me to it. He wants 5,750 but I'd think 5k would be the max if it really does come with a lot of good tooling. I'l think I'd want to go the VFD route instead of the rotary phase converter. "9 x 42 inch Table. Single Phase Rotary Converter, Fast Traverse. Works great, ready to use. Comes with thousands of $ worth of tools and vice."

I'd rather have the Lagun than the BP. Not a fan of the BP power feed, and the power knee lift is nice if you do a lot of work, but your left arm has to get some exercise somewhere. There would have to be a LOT of tooling to justify the difference.

I see, that's kind of what I was thinking. The Lagun did sell. Maybe i should have hopped on it at 3k, maybe it wasnt mant to be.

Thanks for the guidance. You guys are so helpful.

I'm kicking myself a bit this morning. I'm going to switch my tactics away from stealing a machine and going more towards value. If that machine checked out it definitely had a lot of value at 3k.
