Kearney - Trecker, Horizontal Mill - $3000 (Sutter Creek, CA)

Isn’t that White Foundry?

Not sure about the name, but yes. I believe they lost their lease and are moving. They've been advertising some other machines.

I would love to have that K&T. =No room.
I'm surprised it hasn't sold.

I drool over that thing every time I'm on CL. I think no room is why it hasn't sold, just not that many people have a shop that can fit something like that, and those that can probably have one (or similar). I know by industrial mill standards it isn't all that large, but it is basically a 5x5x5ft cube of cast iron, 2500lbs worth.

I can always dream though. I probably wouldn't even make anything, just run it and watch. 3 axis power feed with speeds from from 1/2"min to 20" min, and all sorts of dials and brasswork. :xmaslights:

Janderso if you ever change you mind I have a later model with a ten horse motor that could be available.

Heavy duty manual horizontal mills are no longer desired by production shops, seem to be going away in commercial job shops, and are too much for most hobby shops due to higher needs for space and power, not to mention getting the thing home. They are wonderful if you have a real use for them, not just bragging rights. So, there are a lot of people drooling over them, but few willing to actually purchase one and bring it home. Wonderful machines, often priced way too high and often handicapped by needing parts that are no longer available, just a step too far for most potential customers. Many end up in the scrap yard. Sad, but reality...
