Took the Century motor off of the Champion Blower Drill press this morning. Next I will be taking the motor apart to clean it internally and try to make it run again. This motor is only 1 horsepower and weighs 150 lbs. "When Cast iron was King"

........and when 1HP meant a motor that could do real work.
Not like today's Shetland Ponies motors!

I appreciate your short videos.

Snuggles helps about as much as my dog; but I wouldn't trade her for anything.

Thanks Brian. Took her less than 1/2 a second to steal my heart. Thanks for the kind words and I agree these old motors are torque monsters. I don't get it folks always want to talk horsepower and forget that torque does the work. I have seen comments of these old Camelback Drill presses drilling 1 1/4" diameter holes with no pilot holes. The way they are built I don't doubt it.
