Don't flame me for asking such a simplistic question, but how do you lock, or hold the spindle on a Jet JMD-18 from turning to loosen/tighten the draw bar?
On the only mill I used before (I believe it was a "Newport"), there was a brake lever at the top for holding the spindle still. On my 28 year-old Dayton drill press, there's a hole in the head casting to insert a 1/4" pin to lock the spindle when needed.
There doesn't seem to be any feature on the Jet mill for this purpose. For now, I'm placing a wood wedge between the belt and pulley when I need to change out a collet.
