Jacobs taper question

I stumbled on an Albrecht 0-3/8" drill chuck today. The chuck is still snug to open and close and in excellent overall condition. The price was right so needless to say it followed me home.
With no arbor I need to order one so here is my question, the chuck is stamped 100 J2 which I take to mean that it requires a #2 Jacobs taper arbor for the chuck end. I'll be ordering a 1/2" shank to fit the 1/2" collet on my Bridgeport. Is there any relevance to the 100 stamped on the chuck?
Thanks,
Pat

100-J2 would be the part number, 100 denotes their Classic Keyless chuck model with a 10mm capacity.
