I have an old IXL capital lathe which I can’t find much information on. it seems to be set up for thread cutting and is evidently designed for heavy cutting. I found that ixl lathes are made in germany and I found a few Erlich (the german manufacturer) lathes which looked similar but also had some key differences.
Any information on it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Sam

Welcome to the forum!

Hi, does anyone know if these IXL lathes have a morse taper in the spindle nose? Went and had a look at one the other night with the prospect of buying it but forgot to check. Its an IXL Capital. Its also missing the entire half nut assembly. Does anyone have photos of one by any chance? I could possibly make a replacement which would then make it worth my while buying it
Cheers
