It might be but I'd check with Jeff@ tools4cheap.net and see what he's got. Good stuff, good prices, and a good guy. :)
 
I just bought the same setup for the same lathe

workin fine for me take a bit to get used to 4 jaw

keep in mind you ll have to machine the backplate, pretty easy though
 
It's a basic but decent chuck. I had the same one on an old lathe and it served me well. Needed a little balancing but, any chuck that size costing less than 300 bucks is not going to come balanced from the factory. Strongly suggest you read some of the threads here about chuck balancing before you drill holes and bolt a backplate to it. I have several threads here covering that topic.

EDIT: If for some odd reason, I found myself in need of a chuck, I wouldn't hesitate to get another one of the same brand.
 
They aren't a bad chuck for what you want. I'd check with Shars directly for possibly better pricing. As others have said, it's no Buck chuck, but neither is the price.
