Installing chuck on spindle

Hey there all, I want to put my 4 jaw chuck on my lathe and was wondering before I spin it on if I should put some anti-seize or grease or anything on the threads? Thanks all

Clean both the spindle and chuck good . No need for grease or anti-seize .

A few drops of oil won't hurt.

I agree, I always put a few drops of "type c" oil on mine before remounting. And clean both really well.

Ditto on the oil, just a touch to prevent rust
