Good evening, I just picked up a no.12 horizontal Mill at an auction today. I've started looking but I cannot seem to find any information on it, anything would be appreciated.

The #12 is a production mill with 26" of table movement, it is difficult to say very much more because it depends on how old the machine may be, they were manufactured back as far as as the late 1800s and well into the 1950s or later. Generally it is a bed type machine with limited cross feed and a spindle that elevates a limited amount, perhaps 9 1/2" above the table. The later machines weigh #4375 according to the catalog.

i'll post pictures tomorrow. the z is adjusted by means of a 1" bolt and two nuts, above and below the housing. The table is pretty much stuck, this machine has sat for some time. i bought it dirt cheap as a possible project. the motor on the bottom is nearly the size of a 5 gallon bucket, i suspect its 3 phase, but there are no markings so i am not 100% sure how to tell. it looks like it has 4 wires going into it...

I HAVE SEVERAL CATALOGS FROM EARLY TO LATE WITH PERTINENT INFO.

After I see the pictures posted and can determine the appropriate model of machine, we will attempt it ---

Please see the attached pictures. I'm trying to get the bed free..

I've got everything moving.. I am thinking of pulling the vfd off my surface grinder to test the motor ...

Looking at it there is no y axis, and I think I am missing a front support.
