Industrial Grinder, Vertical Band Saw, Cold Saw, HUGE Drill Press - $400 (Santa Barbara, CA)

Doesn’t he seem kinda vague, $400 for what? All of them are HD but that vertical bandsaw is a BEAST. I’d love to help him get rid of some that metal so it doesn’t have to go to the recycler.

Sounds like you could just about name your price. Get out your wallet before he comes to his senses. Get the bandsaw and the coldsaw, give him $400, laugh all the way home.
 
That’s Santa Barbara, somehow I think that $400 is like those other CL listings where it says $1 in the header only to find in the text it 100x more. But who knows. Just that bandsaw and the metal would make my 4cyl Nissan bust a gut coming back over the pass.

Offer twice scrap value and rent a pickup. Hell, rent a lift-gate flatbed and get all the metal stock while you're at it. There's plenty of room to move in this deal if he's talking scrap.
 
I think they are more interested in cleaning the place out, than how much stuff is worth. Find out, then rent the truck take it all for the labor, and some cash.
