IH 196 Slant 4 & 392 V8

i have chance to buy Scout w/Slant 4.
i can also get 2 392's.
one is rebuilt and other is core, both are complete intake to oil pan.
i can get 5 good T-18's but i'll hold off on those unless
he say's there going off to scrapper.
pic on left is slant 4 on the right is 345/392.

I had a slant 4 Scout. I had to put the transfer case in low just to make it up my bosses steep driveway. those transmissions have a lower 1st gear than the one used in ford trucks.

1 getting a Porsche/VW 914 2.0 engine & trans from same

guy that has early Scout with Slant 4.

that's for our Single Seater build.

2 the casting & machining on these IHC engines is the best

i've ever seen!

that slant 4 has same quality as a Miller/Offenhauser engine.

i will probably get 392 V8 first.

the Slant 4 comes with a Scout attached to it.

been there/done that with WWII jeep and Powerwagon Ambulance.

so have to work the angles on the slant 4.
