Old home owner left the lathe with the new home owner (rental property now) and new owner wants it gone. He had disconnected the power and couldn't remember which breakers it was connected to so I was unable to operate it.

Everything turned very smoothly. This a heavy lathe. Thoughts?

Here's my son waiting while I chat with the seller. 3500lbs? It has a phase inverter.

Its a bit worrisome when they advertise that it's under power, then you find out it isn't. But even if the motor is shot, that looks like a pretty good price. Looks like 12-14" swing, 36-40" between centers. I'd seriously consider buying it. Given the circumstances, the seller might well be open to "an offer." Other than the (unknown) motor, I'd say your biggest expense will be moving it!

PS - I just saw your other post about this lathe. Good on ya! Hope the move goes well, and the motor turns out to be in great condition.

Seller said it was running fine before he disconnected it at the breaker box. He could not remember which Breakers to reconnect it to and I don't know that much about electricity.

Looks like a keeper ! :encourage: 13 or 15" ? You should have told him they were the breakers that were turned off . :big grin:

Take a photo of the nameplate on the motor and people will chime in on wiring advice
