I decided my 8" grinder wasn't eating metal fast enough so when I saw a nearby gov auction for an ancient (1952 was the purchase order date) Brown Brockmeyer Co 10" grinder on a pedestal I put in a bid. $106 later and here it is in the driveway after I used the engine hoist to get it out of the back of the SUV. The plan was to put it in the garage and refurbish it, then move it out to the workshop - but the stone on the left is brand new and when I plugged it in it ran very smoothly so now I just need to load it on the trailer and drive it back to the shop.
The right face-guard needs replaced and the left one is cracked so I need to take care of that, otherwise it's ready to run.
