I needed a hydraulic tank for my wood splitter build which required an intake screen on the intake to the suction side of the
hydraulic pump. The screen I have wouldn't conveniently fit in the tank so I used a piece of 4 inch ID pipe to house the filter.
It was very handy to use the digital readout to orientate the holes to mount the filter assembly. It was a day of machining and
welding but it turned out nice in my estimation. Here's a photo of the tank and filter assembly. Still yet to be done is to cut a
hole in the tank and weld on the filter assembly.
Tomorrow I can finish up the project and clean up the shop.
