I’m building a wooden clock as a hobby and it requires to make two coils from 0.25mm diameter copper magnet wire. If you want to see more details of a similar build:
The guy in the video is using his lathe to make the coil and he has a gadget attached which shows how many turns the chuck turns. I have a mini manual Taig lathe with a KBIC VS DC motor controller and I wonder if there is a way to count the turns of my chuck.
The job basically is to wrap the 0.25mm wire on a 2” long 10d nail roughly 200 time per coil.
