Hi Guys,
Now that i understand, and got spindle nose 5c adapter made by logan, i turned my attention to the other side where the change gears are, and when i removed the threaded 3 -4" collar, the gear was able to back out. Thats when i remembered where that nut must go. I hand tightened and used a small punch in one of the 4 holes and with a small brass hammer, tightened another 1/8".
I hope i did the right thing.
Spindle is turning.
Thanks for any and all advice
jon
