How odd - two 'new looking' Bridgeports in PDX area

That is Dan@ AllMachineSales. They end up being pretty scummy. They typically go to auctions and buy stuff, but then 'clean' it up just enough so that it passes an inspection. I wouldn't doubt if someone told me these are just crappily scraped in reworks.

That said, MAYBE he found an auction with two unused bridgeports? That could be as well.

Yeah, I realized that after looking at other machine tools in the area.

I didn't get the 'scummy' vibe from him when I was looking for a lathe a few years ago and he had quite an inventory of used machines in varying states of maintenance. Almost bought one with a cool hydraulic tracing attachment but my better judgement and (especially) wallet condition discouraged me.

It just seemed remarkable that two mills in essentially the same shape turn up at the same time.

As always, buyer beware.

My wallet, or more correctly the keeper of my wallet always determines what I spend, and where I spend it.
