Hi all,
I'm nearing the end of the restoration of my VN12. The cutter head gears were packed in grease when I got it. I cleaned out the grease and mounted the head horizontally. My head has two small screw covers, no sight glass. I opened the two covers and poured Mobile DTE heavy into the top hole. It hardly took any oil before it started running out the side hole.
Have I done this right? Does the cutter head just not take much gear oil?
Thanks,
Greg
