Anyone have one apart? I just want to know how it changes direction. Pictures are great but a description will work too.

I was gifted a Procunier with a a # 2 Jacobs taper. I went online & found a manual PDF which shows how to maintain & repair it. They use 2 cone clutches and a planetary gear system. The clutches appear to be significantly tapered and produce a good tactile feel when tapping, When the tapping is accomplished, retracting disengages from the tapping cone clutch and engages the reversing clutch. The planetary action speeds up the reverse rpm making tapping operations faster. The clutch/gearbox assembly runs in oil. Hope this helps.
