I needed some way to hold my ER40 Colletts. After looking online for something, I decided the metal holders were to expensive. So I just made my own.
Used a piece of 1/2" x 8" x 24" HDPE. Marked out for 21 holes. Even though I only have 15 colletts, I'll have room for expansion.
Measured a collett 1/4" under the top and it was 1 1/2" Dia.
Grabbed one of my trusty Forstner bits, 1 1/2" size and drilled out the holes.
Made a bracket out of a 2x4 with 22 1/2* angle, screwed the HDPE to it then mounted and screwed it to the shelf behind the Lathe.
Makes it handy to see all of them and easy to reach.
