I found a Cincinnati Monoset tool grinder for sale in Charlotte, NC through a Craigslist ad. I went down there yesterday and bought it from the guy. The building is pretty much empty with no power, former plastic injection place. He has a old G&L NO. 25 horizontal boring mill for sale, which is the last of the machine tools that were there. I don't know the guy but he did me a good deal on the grinder so I told him I would post on here about the mill. I'd like to have it but takes up a lot of floor space. Since it's old I placed this post here in hopes that someone other than a scrapper might be interested in it. Let me know if you want any details or pics and I'll put some up off my phone.

Oh Oh, Phil got himself a T&CG!!
In my experience nothing provokes our primal desire to have more stuff than does a T&CG.
Wallet be damned.
I don't think a Monoset (BTW I'd love a Monoset) requires quite the same amount of accessories as a Cincy #2 or a B&S 13 does but I guarantee that you'll begin gazing longingly at some rather expensive items it'd be "cool" to have.

As for the HBM I hope someone can get this.
Good on you for trying to save it from becoming Chinese razor blades.

I hate to admit it but this will be my fourth cutter grinder and second Monoset. I got a smoking deal on the first one but it had almost nothing with it. The one I just got is not in as good a shape as my first one but has almost every accessory that you could get with one. It probably seems strange to some people that I can travel four hundred miles, spend $500 on a 40-50yr old machine and be happy that I did it. Gotta love it

Phil, if you got a fully loaded Monoset for $500 you better check into the local prison because you've been stealing!

Cutter grinders seem to be going dirt cheap, just have to be at the right place right time kind of thing. Manual grinders are being phased out by CNC's it seems. We have 4 Monosets at work and they are a nice machine, just have to know how to use one. That $500 didn't include the gas for my guzzler and the trailer rental which would add another $160 to the cost. Anyhow I am happy with the tooling for sure. Sparks are going to fly, cutter grinder pun intended...

I just noticed your sig that you have a B&S #13. We have 3 of those at work, just haven't ran one yet. I'd sure like to get my hands on one of those. I've got an old Landis cylindrical grinder that's a little like them but I have got some work todo on it.
