Two pistons sounds like more fun and will run smoothly. What benefit from a hemispherical design is to be gained on a steam engine that a Schnuerle port won't provide? Just for fun is an acceptable answer.

I think a hemi would be very cool

i will make a 1 piston engine first. then when i get a metal lathe and mill i will make a 2 piston or more one.
