After 2 frustrating days Googleing I think I need help.

When i modified my 7x12 to a 2ph motor i used the belt and pully assembly from a small chinese bench drill.

I now want to reposition the motor and require a longer belt

the original belt was made by HUANYU No K28 1080. Going to the makers site was no help at all, it has verv little info.

Also i cannot find any referance to belts of this section on any makers or supliers sites.

The section of this belt is Top 8mm--bottom 5mm--depth 6mm. I require a belt length of !000 mm
As i have not positioned the motor yet this can be varied a little.

Any help will be great, I just cant find this section belt at all!

Thanks Brian

Brian so far all I have found is http://www.beltsforanything.com/site80.php which is lacking in a bit of detail. Maybe the height is standard per width?

Tony's site in the UK claims to have nearly any belt for smaller lathes, including some 8mm top width: http://www.lathes.co.uk/page4.html

These guys list the K series belts, but not much detail otherwise. Probably requires an email inquiry.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Couldn't you make a pair of pulleys to suit a belt of a size that is readily available?

Well, I'm glad that worked out well, Brian. It's good to get a bit of feedback on a vendor. Thanks for letting us know!
