Help with a facemill

Hi all,
I got this face mill in an ebay auction with 2 others that I was after. Well when it showed up it was missing a carbide holder. and I can not seem to track down a source for this holder. it is INDEX-O-MATIC and has the# SE15-2504-4466-S-17375 on it does anybody know if index-o-matic is the manufature, or just a part name, and where I might get the holder and screw? the holder is a block with a hole through the center that is tapped for a left thread, and the sides of the block are tapered. the screw is right hand thread at one end and left hand at the other so with the holder started on the screw when you thread the screw into the body of the facemill the holder locks in it's slot and is drawn in by the left hand thread. Not sure how clear I explained that but any info will be appreciated!

Looks like you might end up having to make the block and screw. The block doesnt look too difficult, especially since you already have a ready made pattern. The screw might be a bit more difficult, but you may be able to just buy one outright too. Good luck!!

Yeah I was just gona make it right andput it away it is to big for my mill it came with 2 Valenite face mills that will work in my mill I might use it in the lathe at some point. Or maybe when I get a bigger mill:thumbsup:

That method of holding the inserts looks very much like a Sandvik face mill which I use.
I had to purchase a missing insert clamp as well, but that was quite a number of years ago, dont know if parts are still available.
Garth.

I have a few miscellaneous tool holder screws. Can you get the details of the screw like the diameter, and pitch? A close up picture would probably help.

Tony, here are some close up pics. this is as tight as my cammera will let me go. Thanks for your reply
Mark
