Help needed identifying this tool holder.

I need help identifying this tool holder please. Some of these tool holders were included in a bunch of tooling I picked up on CL recently. From my very limited knowledge the top of the taper looks like a ISO 40 but the flange looks like CAT 50. Thanks!

Well, if you get some dimensions, we can probably narrow it down. What thread is in the drawbar end? What is the major diameter of the taper? Can you accurately measure the taper?


If it turned out to be a 50, and you don't have any use for it, would you like to sell it (or them)? I'm short on 50 taper holders.

Thanks Tony. It's been busy on the east coast but I took some measurements and these appear to be a 40 taper. Metric draw bar 16mm-40, so I would guess thats ISO cat 40. My machine takes R8 so thats about the extent of my knowledge with tapers besides MT. I use my machines for gunsmith work so I don't know everything about machining, but what I do know I do very well.
