My industrial robot uses a grease made in Japan by Kyodo Yushi called MULTEMP AC-N. This grease is packed into all of the very expensive harmonic drive gearboxes. Unfortunately (and I don't yet know the source) the grease has some dark grit in it, likely from mechanical wear. I need to clean all of the grease out of there and pack new grease in. I'm not sure of what an equivalent and chemically compatible grease would be for this high performance application.

From the datasheet (attached):

MULTEMP AC-N is lithium grease made from synthetic hydrocarbon oil and synthetic ester oil, thus applicable to a wide-temperature range. MULTEMP AC-N contains organic molybdenum compound and special solid lubricant, thereby has excellent anti-seizure property. MULTEMP AC-N is optimum for sliding part lubrication such as metal gears of automobile electric accessories, which are operated under very severe conditions.

If I can't get it, maybe any "high performance" Lithium soap grease would be compatible?

I would suggest talking to a local oil jobber. Texaco, Mobil, Exxon, etc. When I worked for the local Texaco jobber we had to source specialty oils a few times. We had a number at Texaco's HQ in White Falls, NY we could call and talk to an oil engineer if needed.

I agree, call a local oil supplier.
Also check your local agricultural dealer. Some of these newer high tech implements take special grease also.
My CNC uses NGLI #0 grease. on the ways and gear train. I buy corn head #0 grease for al combine from my local International Harvester dealership. When I bought the cnc they gave me one tube of grease. This got me past the warranty. The corn head grease was the only one I could find without buying a 5 gallon pail that had all the proper qualities required.
