Hi Everyone
I have found it difficult to find information on Whiton chucks for years now. I only see some VERY old literature online, much older than any of the chucks I have.
I thought they licensed their chucks to other manufacturors, but also do not find identical chucks sold by anyone else either to confirm this.
I am trying to ID a Whiton 6-1/4in with 2-3/16in 10tpi threaded mount. I don't believe it is 2-1/4in
Jaws open to hold approximately 5 inches
Marked on the back:
“BX”
Marked on side:
“THE D. E. WHITON MACHINE CO
NEW LONDON, CONN
PATENTS PENDING"
"CODE GAOCM
MADE IN
UNITED STATES
OF AMERICA”
Do any of you have any experience or knowledge of chucks made by Whiton? I have three, two of which appear to be much more recent than any online catalogs, over 100 years old.
Bernie
